Dear friend, doctor, and colleague,
Thank you for reading my previous email. Now that we are up to date with the story of how MedlyCase came to life, we can focus on helping you through your clinical years!
I want to give you a quick walk through the platform.
It is a platform that mimics the doctor-patient encounter.
Step 1: A patient comes in
Step 2: You ask questions and listen carefully to the answers
Step 3: Make the diagnosis. But in the virtual world.
What is your goal?
Learn to ask the most critical questions, listen intently, and solve the diagnosis as quickly as you can.
One thing is TRUE!
Great doctors are the ones with a lot of experience under their belts.
If you could spend 10,000 hours speaking to patients and diagnosing them by asking the most critical questions, you would become a great doctor, technically faster, and help the world be a better place 🙂
So I hope MedlyCase helps you get there.
Access MedlyCase here!

With over 40+ patients, created by an MD and brought to life (can I even say that?!) by AI.
You can interact with those patients just like you would with real ones, no restrictions.
Designed to simulate real life.
You can review lab tests, write clinical notes, give treatment, and list differential diagnoses. But it is not finished there - you can get your interaction reviewed by our AI, which compares your responses to checklists, uniquely designed for each case!
In short, MedlyCase aims to be the platform where all the clinical knowledge and pearls come together.
In order to achieve this, we broke down the platform into three pivotal modes.

Game Mode - quick responses, time pressure, one goal: reach the diagnosis.
Deep Learning - this mode is all about learning and mastering each case - it has 3 things:

interaction with a virtual patient,
self-evaluation checklists
a deep learning section.
The deep learning section walks you through the disease, starting from symptoms -> ddx -> investigations -> alarm features -> treatment. Everything in one place to master the condition.

Exam Mode - this one mimics OSCEs, PLABs, and Step 2.
It’s a real exam environment, where each interaction might earn a point or cost a point. You need to bring your A game here. Interact with the patient and then get your interaction reviewed by checklists tailored to that specific case by an MD.

I did very poorly here, gotta go and re-learn pneumonia, see you guys

We aimed at designing MedlyCase so that it hits all the skills required to be a good clinician. Practice in a no-pressure environment, all you want, without the consequences of getting a bad grade or making a wrong call.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me in this journey!
I would love to get any feedback and ideas from you.

The goal is to make a platform that prepares us for our lifelong journey of being a doctor.

Here are some intriguing cases from the app
70-year-old male comes with palpitations, a history of uncontrolled DM, HT, and sleep apnea. Is this MI?
28-year-old female comes with shortness of breath that started out of nowhere, pulmonary embolism, hello?
I hope to see you in MedlyCase!
All the best,
